This is one of the most compact of all the houses designed by the practice in recent years. The design is influenced by the conventional nature of the urban site, but also results from a combination of other factors related to the building process. Two aspects are immediately apparent: first, the conciliation between a swimming pool running alongside the boundary wall and a landscaped area to be enjoyed by all long stay environments; and second, the maximization of the open area at the back, which emphasizes the privacy of this space removed from the contextual references of the surroundings.

The compactness and simplicity of the distribution—a classical longitudinal block of superimposed floors, with the living, dining and playrooms and service areas downstairs; bedrooms, bathrooms and private circulation areas upstairs; a small block, at an angle, containing entertainment facilities on the ground floor and an office upstairs—do not prevent the dynamization of the internal circulation routes and the alternating of introversion/extroversion spaces according to convenience. The built volumes of the two main floors do not coincide, allowing the emergence of verandas and terraces. The mismatch is solved by the mediation of an angled marquise slab that challenges, and at the same time ensures, the integration of the blocks and floors: the top floor clearly more hermetic, with Venetian blinds to the bedroom windows, and the ground floor enclosed by glazed sliding doors integrating the interior with the landscaped outdoor spaces.
